yall don’t seem to remember that the original max payne had elements of norse mythology. THe “birdman” is probably a valkyrie, the name of the drug in the first game. Looks like it keeps the graphic novel feel of the game
This week on the 1UP Show we preview Killzone 2 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. We also have a Roundtable Predictions chat about E3 2008.
This game looks like it just takes you along for the ride. I don’t see any backbone in it and the replay value looks to be nil. Stunning at first but if you pay real attention to details shortcuts were taken (ImSpartacus posted about the turret feed for example).
So all and all I’m going to be spending my time playing the kickass game of Resistance 2 with my friends. Sorry Killzone 2, you just don’t cut it.

Animation isn’t as improved as I would like and the framerate doesn’t look that good. Otherwise, I like the better inventory screens, but I hope that there is an option to see the subtitles of the npc dialog for the critical scenes and skip the voice dialog if you want to (sometimes you don’t want to re-hash something again). The AI looks a bit improved though!
